Metal Roofing Longevity

A metal roof, when installed and maintained properly, can last over 50 years. This long-term durability reduces the need for replacements, providing peace of mind for decades.

Metal Roofing Durability

Our metal roofs withstand tough weather, including high winds, heavy rain, and extreme temperatures. Additionally, they are resistant to fire, mildew, insects, and rot, making them reliable for any climate.

Energy Efficiency

Metal roofing reflects sunlight, lowering heat absorption and cooling costs during hot seasons. This energy-efficient option keeps your home cooler and helps save on energy bills.

People were very informative and kept me up to date on work schedule due to weather. Workers were professional and cleaned up after work was completed. Would recommend them to do anyone's roof.

We recently had Bella Construction do siding replacement on our home and we're very pleased with the results. The team was professional and courteous. This is our second project with them and we highly recommend them.

Bella Construction recently installed a new roof and skylights for our home. We considered several other companies, but Bella Construction stood out as the most professional, which instilled in us a great sense of confidence. On a Tuesday, they delivered the necessary materials, and the next day, they began the work. They completed the entire project on the same day. The crew was professional and conscientious. They used tarps to protect exposed window sections and kept the work area clean throughout. After the project was finished, a supervisor returned to check on things. They ensured that the cleanup was done properly and addressed any questions or concerns we may have had. Price wasn’t our primary concern. While you can always find cheaper options, Bella Construction offered very fair prices. We are extremely confident that they stand behind the craftsmanship and warranty. We highly recommend Bella Construction and would rate them 10 out of 10.

I had a leak through my attic into my kitchen during the heavy rains in June. I had a roof inspection the day I called Bella and later that day a tarp was placed on the roof to stop the leakage. 3 weeks later my roof was removed and replaced all in 1 day. I was very pleased.

Bella Construction replaced my roof on my home. They were kind, courteous and efficient . The work was done in a timely manner. They cleaned up very well, down to the nails in the driveway. I had no flat tires from nails.. I would highly recommend this construction company and have told my friends to keep them in mind when home remodeling needs done. If I ever need doors or windows I will definitely give them a call.

Metal roofing in Pittsburgh is the longest lived roof most homes can buy: 40 to 70 years of service through every freeze and thaw winter. Bella Construction installs standing seam and metal shingle systems across Westmoreland and Allegheny County. Read our honest take on metal roof durability, then compare numbers in our roof replacement cost guide.

Metal Roofing Questions, Answered

Who installs metal roofing in Pittsburgh?

Bella Construction installs standing seam and metal shingle roofing across the Pittsburgh area from our Irwin shop. Since 1995, licensed under PA 50898, A+ BBB rating, 4.7 stars across more than 900 Google reviews.

How much does a metal roof cost in the Pittsburgh area?

Most standing seam metal roofs run $25,000 to $50,000 for an average home, roughly 2 to 3 times asphalt, while metal shingle systems land somewhat lower. Over a 40 to 70 year life, metal often costs less per year than replacing asphalt twice.

Is a metal roof worth it in Western Pennsylvania?

For long term owners, usually yes. Metal sheds snow, shrugs off freeze and thaw cycling, resists wind uplift far better than shingles, and can lower summer cooling costs by reflecting heat.

Can you install a metal roof over shingles?

Sometimes, with proper furring and ventilation design, but we evaluate the deck first. Trapping a failing deck under a 50 year roof is a mistake. When the deck is sound, over-roofing saves tear off cost and landfill waste.
